Questions about engraving

We typically ask for around 72 hours to complete the engraving process (if we are running a sale, we may be slightly behind this time – but we do our best to meet it).

If you would like a guaranteed completion time of 24 hours, we offer priority engraving on the product page.

More intricate custom work (like Cerakote, slide cuts, and other in-depth smithing services) are quoted on a per-job basis.

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer: Yes, but only as an in-person engraving. Per recent ATF requirements, we cannot accept mail-order 80% receivers.

Yes! Basic engraving is free, and you can still add-on low-cost options like magwell  placement or engraving darkening. You can configure this when adding a lower receiver to your cart.

Keep in mind that you must wait for your Form 1 to be approved before assembling it, however, we supply your serial number when your item ships out, so you can start on your paperwork immediately and then submit after you complete the transfer of the receiver with your FFL.

Yes.

Any new serialized firearm purchase must ship to an FFL to complete your background check and federal/state paperwork. We will never, under any circumstance, ship a new firearm purchase directly to a customer.

Receivers shipped to us for engraving may be returned to the customer who originally shipped it, however, a new firearm purchase with engraving is not considered to be gunsmithing and must be sent to an FFL.

We supply your serial number when your item ships out.

This helps you get a head start on your paperwork immediately and then submit after you complete the transfer of the receiver with your FFL and confirm that your receiver matches the serial number that you received.

Keep in mind that your Form 1 must be approved before assembling your Form 1 build.

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: Yes, but only stripped receivers. We do not offer complete lower receivers to CA residents. Additional shipping times may apply if the CFLC delays firearm shipment approval.
